Grilled Tuscan-Style Panini Sandwiches

We love these 5 ingredient paninis. Gooey provolone, red roasted peppers and basil combine for the ultimate grilled tuscan sandwich for lunch or dinner.

  • 4 slices sourdough or country Italian bread

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 8 thin slices Provolone cheese

  • 2 large drained Lindsay┬« Red Roasted Peppers, patted dry with a paper towel

  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh basil leaves

Cooking Directions

  1. Place bread on a carving board. Brush oil over 1 side of each slice bread.

  2. Turn 2 slices over; top with half of the cheese, roasted peppers and basil.

  3. Top with remaining cheese and close sandwiches with remaining bread, oiled sides up.

  4. Cook in a preheated panini maker 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  5. Or, cook in a nonstick skillet over medium heat 6 minutes, turning after 3 minutes of cooking.

  6. Cut in half; serve immediately.
