Middle Eastern Labne with Olives and Za’atar

This classic dish is a staple part of Middle Eastern breakfasts. The creamy, slightly tangy labne is delicious with chopped olives and Za’atar spice.


  • 6 oz Labne, (kefir cheese)

  • 1/4 cup Lindsay Crafted Medium Green Olives, chopped

  • 1/4 cup Lindsay Crafted Mediterranean Medley, chopped

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Za’atar

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves

  • Pita bread for serving

Cooking Directions

  1. Spread the Labne on a shallow plate. If Labne is not available, mix 1/2 cup yogurt with 1/4 cup sour cream.

  2. Top the labne with the chopped olives and sprinkle the Za’atar over top. Top with the thyme leaves and drizzle olive oil over top. Serve with hot pita bread or pita chips for the perfect bite!
